Patterson Point | Goleta, California
Patterson Point is a two-story modular affordable housing community developed to provide permanent supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and residents with special needs in Goleta, California. Located at 80 North Patterson Avenue, the project delivers 23 studio apartments plus an on-site manager’s unit, along with shared amenities designed to support stability, dignity, and long-term success.
The community includes a welcoming community room with shared kitchen, laundry facilities, outdoor seating areas, secure bike storage, and resident parking. Accessibility was a key design driver, with a significant portion of the units meeting ADA mobility standards and incorporating features that support residents with visual or hearing impairments. All units are designed to promote comfort, independence, and safety.
Sustainability is integrated throughout the project. Rooftop solar is expected to generate a substantial portion of the building’s energy needs, while energy-efficient windows, shading elements, and thoughtful site planning help reduce heat gain and operating costs.
Constructed using volumetric modular construction, Patterson Point benefits from an accelerated schedule and consistent quality while minimizing disruption to the surrounding neighborhood. Delivered in partnership with the Housing Authority of the County of Santa Barbara and project partners, Patterson Point represents a meaningful investment in the community—bringing high-quality, supportive housing online efficiently to serve some of Santa Barbara County’s most vulnerable residents.
