Gauge West is a modular apartment complex being developed in Durango, Colorado. Four Points Funding is developing the project, with FCI Constructors as the general contractor using Guerdon Modular Building’s prefabricated modules. The project is anticipated to be ready for occupancy by Labor Day 2023.

The modular apartment complex is a 3-building mix of apartments with 89 units for full-time permanent employees. The project proceeded with the modular construction process for the workforce housing development to ensure high quality, meet tight deadlines, and have the apartment ready by Labor Day 2023.

The units will vary in size, ranging from one to three bedrooms. The smallest units will be approximately 639 square feet, while the largest units will be around 1,005 square feet.

The modular construction process gives developers the opportunity to complete projects quickly and efficiently. This is achieved by designing the unit outside the factory and assembling it on-site. In addition, this construction method offers a higher level of quality control, leading to cost savings compared to conventional construction methods.

The apartments will be available for rent, with prices ranging based on the type of unit. The Gauge West Apartments will help expand the housing inventory for people working in Durango, Colorado, providing low-income housing options for local residents.
