When Target Logistics embarked on a $10 million renovation of the former Chard Open Camp (south of Fort McMurray, AB, CANADA), Guerdon was contracted to build a new, state of the art, Kitchen, Dining, & Rec facility. The lodge was designed to feature high end finishes including stone fireplaces, antler chandeliers, knotty alder trims, and plenty of natural light (allowed in by two separate clear stories). To bring even more nature indoors, the wall panels in the main hallway highlight photography from neighboring Banff National Park. Additional comforts for guests of the lodge include commercial laundry, a theater, fitness room, media room, and game rooms.

In addition to the common areas, the project also included building 9 new artic corridors that extend out from the KDR to connect existing dormitories, allowing better access for everyone using the facility.

Construction in Guerdon’s Boise, Idaho facility wrapped up in the fall of 2014 and use of the facility began in early 2015.
