OVERVIEW: 

Guerdon is seeking qualified applicants for experienced Tape and Texture Technicians. The position will primarily be responsible for providing a variety of surface finishes up to an ASTM Level 5 finish.

Responsibilities/Learned Skill Will Include:

  • Prepare wet compound and press into joints, nail or screw holes in drywall.
  • Sand between finish coats.
  • Able to smooth finish and match all textures – orange peel, skip/hand trowel, splatter, etc.
  • Previous drywall taping and texture experience required.
  • Occasional use of stilts.
  • Ability to float drywall and seams not visible once painted.
  • Painting
  • General knowledge of hand tools and their use.
  • Ensure quality while manufacturing in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Proficient knowledge in commercial/residential construction and other structures.
  • Ability to organize and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compliance to all safety guidelines and procedures.
